To live is to be human

Part I

To be alive is to be
a speck of dust
encapsulating the
entire universe
all at once;
infinitely alive
within a boundless prison,
freely confined
in the vastness of existence.

To be human is to contain
a Colosseum of consciousness
within a tiny,
gelatinous repository,
composed of more synapses
than the stars
which swirl & eddy
across the Milky Way galaxy.

To be alive is to embody
order emerging from chaos;
a constellation of atoms
formed from
explosions of energy,
yet bounded in fatality
to the law of entropy.

To be human is to be
a refined barbarian,
a tamed beast
condemned to freedom;
destined for freewill
with volatile volition,
vacillating violently between
predetermined decisions.

To be alive is to be
a beautiful wreckage,
wretched & wrathful;
a magnum opus of ugliness
screaming in silence,
an unyielding abyss
slowly devouring mountains.

To be human is to be
perfected ceaselessly through
the flawed mechanism
of evolution,
concealing vestigial organs
which betray the myth
of supremacy
creationism.

Part II

Obstinate primate,
why do you
deny your blueprint in
reprobation,
& rage against your
obligate primal emotions?

Why do you resent
the DNA of your ancestors
& suppress the instincts
which have sanctioned
your survival
for thousands of millennia?

Why do you pervert
the cosmos with puritanism,
& delude yourself into believing
that the cornerstones
of love & fear
are abominations
conjured up by a
Luciferian agenda?

Why do you kneel
prostrate at the altar
& scrape your knees raw
to atone for simply existing
within the infinite spectrum
of nature’s law?

For to be human is to be
caught in the crossfires
between trying to
subjugate one another,
& being at the utter mercy of
Mother(fucking) Nature.

To be human is to be
A harmonious contradiction
In dialectical discourse
Between one & self;
A living corpse
blinded by sight,
Beaming rays of darkness
Amidst the mayhem of light.

To live is to be human.
    To be human is to be alive.
